Apprentice Compliance Coordinator

Key Responsibilities: 

Compliance Administration:

Process and review candidate compliance documentation Ensure all pre-employment checks are completed in line with organisational policies and regulatory requirements Maintain accurate and up-to-date compliance records within recruitment databases and workforce systems Monitor compliance expiry dates and coordinate renewals

Pre-Employment Screening: 

Verify right-to-work documentation Coordinate Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks and monitor progress Conduct employment history and reference checks Validate professional registrations and qualifications (e.g., NMC, HCPC, GMC) Ensure occupational health clearances are obtained before placement

Candidate and Stakeholder Support: 

Act as a point of contact for candidates regarding compliance requirements Support recruitment consultants, hiring managers, and agencies with compliance queries  Provide guidance on documentation requirements and onboarding processes  Follow up with candidates to obtain outstanding information within agreed timescales

Audit and Quality Assurance: 

Conduct regular audits of candidate files to ensure compliance standards are maintained Identify missing or incomplete documentation and take corrective action Support internal and external compliance audits  Assist in maintaining accreditation standards, including NHS and healthcare framework requirements

Reporting and Record Management: 

Produce compliance reports and trackers as required Monitor key compliance metrics and highlight risks to management Ensure confidential handling of personal and sensitive information in accordance with GDPR and Data Protection requirements Maintain electronic and paper records in line with retention policies

Training:

Business Administrator Level 3.
