Apprentice Calibration Engineer

Calibrate temperature and pressure measuring equipment using UKAS-accredited procedures Learn to use laboratory reference standards, calibration software and specialist test equipment Prepare calibration certificates and maintain accurate technical records Assist with equipment maintenance, verification and routine laboratory checks Support quality and continuous improvement activities within the laboratory Develop practical fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship there will be the opportunity to progress to a permanent Calibration Engineer role, taking responsibility for the calibration of customer equipment, supporting UKAS-accredited activities and developing specialist skills in temperature, pressure and future electrical calibration disciplines.

MAControls Ltd is a growing UKAS-accredited calibration laboratory based in Cheltenham, specialising in temperature and pressure calibration for customers across a wide range of industries. As a small business, we offer a friendly and supportive working environment where apprentices gain hands-on experience across many aspects of the company, with excellent opportunities to develop technical skills and progress their engineering career.



Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm (37.5 hours per week including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break).
