Digital Support Apprentice
Laptop Asset Management:
Catalogue, label and maintain records of all student loan laptops Maintain an accurate and up-to-date asset register Ensure laptops are correctly assigned to students and staff Verify that all devices are enrolled into Microsoft Intune and compliant with college standards Ensure all laptops are clearly marked and identifiable in line with college procedures Check that all loan laptops have the correct accessories, including chargers and carry cases Monitor laptop stock levels and report shortages or replacement requirementsDevice Preparation and Maintenance:
Inspect laptops to ensure they are in good working condition Identify and report faults relating to batteries, keyboards, trackpads, screens and chargers Carry out basic hardware checks and troubleshooting Assist with software setup, updates and configuration Ensure laptops are prepared and ready for issue to studentsCustomer Service and Student Support:
Provide first-line support to students regarding laptop loans Assist students with basic hardware and software issues Respond to queries professionally in person, by email and over the telephone Signpost students to appropriate support services where required Deliver excellent customer service and act as an ambassador for both the ICT and Library teamsICT Support:
Undertake basic troubleshooting of laptops, peripherals and software applications Escalate more complex technical issues to ICT technicians Assist ICT staff with device deployments and other technology projects Support the maintenance of ICT equipment and digital learning resourcesBusiness Administration:
Maintain accurate records, filing systems and databases Produce reports, correspondence and documentation using Microsoft Office 365 applications Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and procedures Assist with organising meetings, taking minutes and maintaining action logs as required Undertake other administrative duties appropriate to the roleTraining:

Possibility of a full-time position upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.
