Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Working Hours – 4 on/4 off 12 hour shifts -Monday to Friday

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced FLT Counterbalance Driver to join a busy metals processing and recycling operation in Willenhall. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement, loading, unloading, and storage of metal materials while maintaining high standards of safety and operational efficiency.

✅ Key Responsibilities

Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficientlyLoad and unload vehicles in accordance with company proceduresMove, stack, and organise metal products and materials within the yard and warehouse areasConduct daily FLT safety checks and report any defects immediatelyEnsure materials are stored correctly and safelyAssist with stock control and inventory management as requiredMaintain a clean, tidy, and safe working environmentFollow all health and safety regulations and company policiesAssist with general yard duties when forklift work is not requiredWork closely with production and transport teams to meet operational targets

✔️ Requirements

Valid RTITB, ITSSAR, NPORS, or equivalent Counterbalance FLT licencePrevious experience operating a Counterbalance FLT within an industrial, manufacturing, recycling, or metals environmentGood understanding of health and safety proceduresAbility to work independently and as part of a teamGood communication skillsFlexible and reliable approach to work

Desirable

Experience within the metal recycling or scrap metal industryExperience loading and unloading heavy or irregularly shaped materialsOverhead crane experienceBasic computer skills for stock management systems
