Deputy Home Manager – Torquay

Nurse Seekers are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Deputy Manager to join a small, independent care facility in Torquay.

The service provides high-quality care and support to elderly residents and younger adults living with mental health conditions, and is looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to support the management team.

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service, maintaining high standards of care and supporting both staff and residents.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the Registered Manager with the day-to-day management of the serviceEnsuring high standards of care and safeguarding are maintainedSupporting and supervising care staffAssisting with staff planning and rotasPromoting a positive and person-centred environmentHelping to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standardsParticipating in the on-call rota

About You

The successful candidate will have:

NVQ Level 4 (or equivalent) in Health & Social CarePrevious experience within a care or mental health settingStrong leadership and communication skillsA genuine passion for supporting vulnerable adultsThe ability to work effectively as part of a management teamExperience creating and managing staff rotas is preferable
