Apprentice Maintenance Person

This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with a keen interest in DIY and/or practical problem solving.  You will join a friendly and professional team to learn more about Maintenance in a School environment. Duties of the role will include, but not be restricted to:

Building Maintenance Decorating Planned preventative maintenance tasks Emergency responder Site security Room setups and portering

Training will be provided in the workplace through Abingdon & Witney College where the successful candidate will work towards a Level 2 Maintenance Apprenticeship.



Training:

Duration:

15 months practical training period, plus 3 months for End Point Assessment

Delivery model:

Work-based training with the employer Eleven weeks of block release at Abingdon & Witney College's Bicester Construction Skills Centre (plus induction/revision days) On-site workplace assessment visits every other month throughout the apprenticeship Off the job training will count for at least 418 hours of your time during the apprenticeship

Qualifications included:

Level 2 Property Maintenance Operative Apprenticeship

End Point Assessment:

Multiple choice knowledge test Practical assessment Professional discussion based on a portfolio of evidence and short research assignment

Training Outcome:

This is a 2-year fixed-term contract, for the right candidate, upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity for this to develop into a full-time role.

8am 5pm, Mon-Fri, with one hour (unpaid) lunch.
