Civil Engineer Degree Apprentice
No two days are the same in this role. You'll support a variety of engineering and infrastructure projects across the Port, including:
Assisting with the planning and delivery of infrastructure maintenance and improvement projects. Supporting the supervision of contractors carrying out engineering and construction works. Helping prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications and project documentation. Carrying out site inspections and surveys across the Port estate. Supporting the maintenance of quays, roads, drainage systems and other civil engineering assets. Updating engineering drawings and records using digital systems. Learning how projects are planned, managed and delivered safely and efficiently Working closely with colleagues, contractors and external partners to support engineering activities. Developing an understanding of environmental, quality and health and safety standards within a live operational environment.Training:
You'll study towards your BEng(Hons) Civil Engineering with one of our university partners, with one day a week at the University and the rest of the time spent at the Port with your team.
Training Outcome:
Progression into Assistant Civil Engineer position within the infrastructure department on the Port.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm.
