Fabrication/Welding Apprentice
Your training and responsibilities as an Apprentice Fabricator/Welder, will include (but not be limited to) the following:
Carry out welding activities including use of a MIG welder, and other ancillary machinery and equipment Creating steel fabrications, utilising machinery such as a band saw, circular saw, bending machine, pillar drill Accurately follow job cards and update accordingly Understand and read engineering drawings/symbols Ensure correct marking up of component parts Work to quality standards required for the components Weld joints in accordance with approved welding procedures and quality requirements Undertake final inspections of finished components Assisting with warehousing duties, loading vehicles and packaging goods Maintaining a clean, organised and productive work area for colleagues and yourself When trained, ensure job timings are met/exceededYou’ll learn side-by-side with experienced engineers who are passionate about sharing their knowledge, giving you hands-on exposure to a wide range of tasks and a real understanding of how the whole business operates.
