Apprentice Electrician
Assist qualified electricians with planned and reactive electrical maintenance tasks
Support the installation, testing, and inspection of electrical systems under supervision
Help maintain lighting, small power, emergency lighting, and distribution boards
Learn to use test equipment safely and record results accurately
Develop understanding of BS 7671 (IEE Wiring Regulations) and its practical application
Assist with fault-finding activities, observing and learning diagnostic techniques
Complete permits to work and electrical records with guidance from supervising engineers
Attend college or training provider sessions as required by the apprenticeship standard
Follow all health and safety procedures and site rules at all times
Build a working knowledge of the site electrical infrastructure over time
Training:
Installation and Maintenance Electrician Level 3.
This programme is delivered via a day release delivery model which means that one day per week, your attendance is required at our Engineering Campus. This attendance is required during term time only.
You will work with expert assessors and tutors to develop new knowledge, skills and behaviours within the profession.
You will experience a blended learning model.
Training Outcome:
Full-time employment upon completing apprenticeship successfully.
