Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineering Apprentice (Level 3 Engineering - Mechatronics)

As a multi-skilled maintenance engineering apprentice you will be part of a structured 4-year apprenticeship programme with the long-term goal of joining the engineering team as a fully skilled maintenance engineer.  

Being an apprentice at Bostik means that you will develop and hone your Engineering skills in a culture with health and safety at its core! 

Role and Responsibilities​: 

Work to safe engineering procedures and site safety rules Attend any college courses on time and in full Have an enthusiastic approach to learn Complete and maintain a logbook throughout the entirety of your apprenticeship

What you skills will you learn? 

How to maintain a variety of industrial machinery in multiple engineering disciplines Different approaches to fault finding and rectification work. Work on multi-discipline systems - electro-pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical control systems Electrical Installations Mechanical installations Product transfer system installation (pipe work) General fabrication - welding, bench fitting etc.  Component manufacture - lathes, milling machines, grinders etc. Understand and interpret Engineering drawings - Electrical Schematics, Assembly drawings, Component drawings etc.  

Training:
Mechatronics Maintenance Technician Level 3 Primarily based in the workplace Attendance to Loughborough College 1 day per week, term time only Diarised visits from dedicated Trainer/Assessor On-the-job training Off-the-job training

Training Outcome:

To join the existing engineering team on site.

Working Hours :
Shift system basis. Early shift: 6am - 2pm (Monday - Thursday) and 6am - midday (Friday). Late shift: 2pm-10pm (Monday - Thursday) and midday - 10pm (Friday). Rotation between shifts, in accordance with the rota notified to you by your manager.
