Apprentice Welder/Steel Fabricator
This is an exciting opportunity to join the team at MENA engineering as an apprentice Fabricator/Welder. In the role the key responsibilities will develop to include:
Assisting in the fabrication and welding components using a range of materials but primarily stainless steel. Learn and apply basic welding techniques (e.g. MIG, TIG, MMA) under supervision. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Prepare materials for fabrication, including cutting, grinding and finishing. Set up and use workshop tools and equipment safely. Carry out basic assembly of fabricated components. Inspect work to ensure it meets required quality standards. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment. Follow all health & safety procedures and company policies. Work effectively as part of a team and communicate with colleagues and supervisors.Training:
You will be required to attend Advance II, Dudley College, DY1 4AS, 1 day per week in term time only.
You will receive a Engineering Operative - Fabrication & Welding Level 2 Apprenticeship qualification upon successful completion of your apprenticeship. You will be assigned an assessor who will visit you in the workplace every 6-8 weeks to support you on your apprenticeship. You may be required to attend Functional Skills as part of your apprenticeship.Training Outcome:
