Technician Apprentice (HGV)
Maintain and repair all Bartrums fleet assets
Perform all minor and major repairs, on lorries and trailers for the Bartrums Fleet and our external customers
Collaborate with the repair team to diagnose problems and plan repairs
Perform regular diagnostic tests on trucks
Maintain accurate records of each repair performed on the vehicles
MOT preparation and steam cleaning (as required once trained and in line with H&S requirements)
Road test vehicles (alongside qualified Technician)
Report any unsafe equipment and practices
Ensure that the work and communal areas are clean and tidy and clear of any obstacles
Updating and completing computerised and paper-based vehicle records as and when required
Maintain records for, issuing inventory, and usage of all parts and consumables at all times
Ensure compliance with all legislation and regulations issued by the government and local authorities
Maintain good housekeeping keeping the premises and surrounding areas free from debris and rubbish
To undertake any training required to enable you to continue to do this role within standards required
To follow ALL Health and Safety legislation, policies, and procedures to ensure the safety of our customers and other employees
Any other duties as requested
Training:
Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Standard
English and Maths (if required) Level 2
Training Outcome:
Apprenticeship could lead to a permanent position with TTC on a shift pattern.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm (including a 30 minute unpaid break).
