Apprentice Buyer

Purchasing goods, materials, or services in line with specified cost, quality, and delivery targets. Preparing and raising purchase orders. Learning and developing the purchasing system. Learning and understanding how the purchasing systems flow into the accounts system. Maintaining the approved supplier register. Understanding the links between suppliers, especially sub-contractors and Health and Safety regulations. Acting as an interface between purchasing, suppliers, and other relevant departments on purchasing processes. Preparing reports as and when required. Working closely with others in the procurement function and review opportunities for continuous improvement and business improvements. Build, maintain, and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications. Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all suppliers.

Training Outcome:

MGF will continue to support the apprentice upon successful completion of the Level 3 Apprenticeship, with the potential to progress them onto their CIPS Level 4 qualification.
