Property Maintenance Apprentice
An important part of this role is to support families and vulnerable people that we home live in safe and secure properties. We expect good time management skills, providing effective and well-presented solutions for the best repairs/guidance for all parties involved.
Duties expected
Basic Electrical works such as changing Light fittings, power sockets Basic Plumbing works such as fixing minor leaks, changing tap washers Ability to change locks Painting and Decorating skills Occasional Gardening Investigation of faults and compiling maintenance reports Supporting the Property Managers with Inspections, Move Ins/Move outs as required Covering on call as per Rota Learning and understanding the process of providing a first and immediate response to fault finding in buildings Remedial work to the internal and external fabric of a building Conduct the general day-to-day maintenance required to keep a range of properties in a good state of repair Conduct routine maintenance tasks, and minor planned and responsive repair works, using a broad range of fundamental trade skills including carpentry, joinery, plumbing, plastering, brick and block work, external works and associated finishing trades including tiling, painting, and decorating Operatives use a wide variety of hand and power tools, materials, components, fixtures and fittings, ensuring work that is carried out is compliant with health and safety requirements, and meets building safety regulations and legislationPlease note: The key dates are to be used as a guide only. Training:
Property Maintenance Operative Level 2 Training with Milton Keynes College Ongoing training, support and development with the employer
Training Outcome:
There is a full time opportunity to remain permanent at the end of the Apprenticeship
