Safety, Health and Environment Apprentice

Key Responsibilities:

Provide advice and guidance to managers and employees on health, safety and environmental requirements  Support the implementation of company policies, procedures and legal requirements  Promote safe and responsible working practices across the organisation    Assist in identifying workplace hazards and supporting risk assessments  Help monitor compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations  Support audits, inspections and checks to ensure standards are maintained  Assist in developing, reviewing and maintaining safe systems of work  Support the implementation of SHE management systems and processes  Help ensure procedures are followed consistently across operational activities   Support delivery of training sessions, inductions and toolbox talks  Communicate key safety messages clearly to different audiences  Help build awareness and understanding of SHE practices across teams  Assist in the investigation of accidents, incidents and near misses  Support gathering information, analysing data and identifying trends  Help produce reports and present findings to the management team   Identify opportunities to improve workplace safety and environmental performance  Support initiatives that promote a positive safety culture  Contribute ideas to improve processes, behaviours and compliance  Work closely with managers, employees and external stakeholders  Support building a culture where safety and environmental responsibility are prioritised  Influence safe behaviours and challenge unsafe practices where appropriate   Complete all required apprenticeship training and off-the-job learning  Participate in regular reviews with line manager and training provider  Apply learning in the workplace to develop SHE knowledge, skills and behaviours
