Digital Support Apprentice
Support colleagues’ day to day in their use of our business systems – including Procore, Microsoft 365 and our approved AI tools – responding through the right channel, escalating anything more complex, and keeping simple records so we can fix recurring causes rather than symptoms
Become a recognised superuser of the tools the pre-construction team relies on and keep your own knowledge current as those tools change
Run short training sessions, floor-walks and drop-ins, and write clear, plain-English guides, quick-reference cards and short how-to videos – pitched at the audience rather than at the technology
Use our digital systems to identify productivity and performance improvements – where work is duplicated, where information gets stuck, where a manual step could be removed – and put practical suggestions forward, thinking about the wider impact and flagging the risks as well as the benefits
Help configure and maintain digital workspaces, templates, permissions and folder structures so information is easy to find and consistently stored
Handle data accurately and securely and maintain system security in line with JSM policy – applying information-security principles to how information is transferred, stored, used and deleted, and helping colleagues understand why those controls exist rather than just enforcing them
Support the roll-out of new tools and changes to existing ones – helping test, gather feedback and bring people up to speed
Use collaborative technologies to help teams share information and good practice across our three business lines
Work safely and follow health and safety appropriate to the task, including when visiting sites
Complete your apprenticeship coursework and build your knowledge with our support – including sitting in with colleagues in other departments and on live bids and feasibility work to see how they work
