Apprentice CNC Technician

Duties will include: 

Setting and operating CNC mills and turning machines  Learning and understanding how to set parameters on CNC mills and turning machines  Learning CNC machining principles and machine operation  Working safely in accordance with health and safety legislation  Reading and interpreting engineering drawings  Conducting routine machine maintenance and safety checks  Measuring and inspecting components to quality standards  Maintain high level of housekeeping at all times within workshop 

Training:

The successful candidate will spend 2 days per week at college, training towards a Level 3 Machining Technician qualification. The rest of the week will be spent in the workplace, learning on the job from an experienced mentor. 



Training Outcome:

Will become a qualified machining technician upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday 8.00am - 4.30pm (30 minute lunch) and Friday 8.00am - 2.00pm.
