Apprentice Gardener
You will be energetic and hard-working. Drive and passion for gardening are key for this role. If you have a keen eye for detail and would like to know more, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Undertaking general day to day duties, dependent on the weather and work schedule, including:
Prepping, tending, planting, pruning beds and borders, trees, plants and shrubs. Lawn mowing. Hedge cutting. Leaf blowing and collection. Soft landscaping. Weed control and litter removal. Help maintain the general cleanliness and tidiness of campus.Training:
Horticulture Operative Level 2
Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid Level 2 PA1 Pesticides Work-based training with your employer Approximately 12 on-site assessment visits per year 14 days college attendance to complete Horticulture Principles and Practice course 2 days college attendance to complete Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid course 2 days college attendance to complete Level 2 PA1 Pesticides course Level 1 Functional Skills in maths and English (7 days at college for each, if required)Training Outcome:
There is the possibility of a full-time position at the end of the apprenticeship

Working Hours :
Monday to Thursday 07.30am to 4.00 pm Friday 07.30am to 3.00 pm half hour unpaid lunch breaks each day.
