All Building Control is an established and forward-thinking Registered Building Control Approver based in London. Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic Graduate/Trainee Registered Building Inspector to join our supportive team in Oval.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity to develop the technical knowledge and practical experience required to become a competent Registered Building Inspector.

Working alongside experienced professionals, you will support building regulation plan assessments, attend site inspections, maintain project records and liaise with clients and construction professionals.

You will receive structured training and mentoring while working towards Registered Building Inspector status.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with reviewing Building Regulations applicationsDevelop knowledge of the Building Regulations and Approved DocumentsHelp identify compliance issues and prepare technical commentsSupport the preparation of statutory documentationAccompany experienced inspectors on site visitsLearn how to assess building work for regulatory complianceRecord inspection findings and assist with reportsMaintain accurate project records and documentationRespond to client enquiries professionallyLiaise with architects, contractors, developers and other stakeholdersAttend technical meetings and training sessionsMaintain CPD records and work towards professional registrationDevelop knowledge of the Building Safety Act, Operational Standards Rules and relevant professional standards

What We're Looking For

You will need:

A degree, or expected degree, in Building Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture or another construction-related subjectA strong interest in Building Control and Building RegulationsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong organisation and attention to detailA willingness to learn and develop professionallyThe ability to work independently and as part of a teamGood Microsoft Office and general IT skills

Desirable Experience

It would be beneficial if you also have:

Construction or Building Control placement experienceSome knowledge of Building Regulations or construction methodsA full UK driving licence, or are currently working towards one
