Mechanical Engineering Apprentice
Learning to read engineering drawings
Measuring parts with calipers, micrometers and gauges
Operating machinery
Assisting the setters and other machinists in their day to day duties
You will see other engineering disciplines such as gear cutting, grinding and milling as well as learning how to programme and set state of the art CNC machines
Training:
Training will be predominantly on site, however there will be one day a week put aside for day release at college.
Training Outcome:
To become a fully qualified machinist and be able to programme CNC machines. Also, there will be an opportunity to learn the CAD / CAM system.

Working Hours :
8.00am - 4.30pm, Monday - Thursday and 8.00am - 3.30pm on a Friday.
