Engineering Machining Technician Apprentice
As a Machinist Apprentice at Burtech Precision, you will work alongside experienced machinists and engineers, developing your practical skills while working towards your apprenticeship. You will gain experience using a range of CNC and conventional machinery and work on a variety of precision engineering projects.
Your duties will include:
Learning how to set and operate a range of CNC and conventional machining equipment, including lathes, milling machines and drilling equipment Measuring and checking materials and finished components using a range of precision measuring equipment to ensure they meet the required specifications and tolerances Learning how to select appropriate tools, materials, speeds and feeds for different machining operations Assisting experienced machinists with the production of bespoke and precision-engineered components for a range of industries Carrying out turning, milling, drilling and other machining operations as your skills and confidence develop Learning how to identify and resolve basic machining issues and make adjustments to ensure components are produced accurately Carrying out quality checks throughout the manufacturing process and developing an understanding of engineering standards and tolerances Supporting the team with general workshop duties and ensuring machinery, tools and the working environment are kept clean, safe and organised Gaining experience working on a variety of projects, including components and tooling used within Burtech’s line-stopping equipment and other specialist engineering applicationsTraining:
Machining Technician Level 3.
Training will be at North Lindsey College where you will access a wide range of facilities on offer on a day release basis.
Training Outcome:
Successful completion of the apprenticeship could lead to a higher-level apprenticeship or full-time employment for the right candidate.

Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday 7am - 3pm, Friday 7am - 1pm
