Buyer

A Buyer is sought to join an innovative engineering team in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, contributing to the procurement of materials, components and services within a manufacturing environment.

The Buyer, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, will manage suppliers, purchasing activities and supply chain requirements, helping to maintain stock levels, reduce risk and drive commercial improvements.

Responsibilities include:

Manage a portfolio of suppliers and raise purchase orders using MRP requirements Source new suppliers and negotiate pricing, delivery and commercial terms Monitor and expedite purchase orders to ensure on-time delivery Support engineering changes, new product introductions and ERP updates Identify and manage supply chain risks and supplier disruptions Drive cost savings, process improvements and competitive tendering Work closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and other internal teams Monitor supplier performance and support KPI reporting

The Buyer, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, will have the following key skills:

Previous purchasing or supply chain experience Experience working with MRP/ERP systems Strong negotiation, communication and supplier management skills PCBA/PCB Experience Good numerical and Excel skills Proactive, organised and analytical approach to problem solving Manufacturing or engineering experience would be advantageous
