Commission will be linked to qualifying completed and paid installations, subject to the company’s required gross-profit margin

Keenan Electrical and Solar is a growing electrical and renewable-energy company installing solar panels, battery storage and EV chargers across London, Hertfordshire and Essex.

We pride ourselves on honest technical advice, competitive pricing and high-quality installations. As the company continues to grow, we are looking for a confident and ambitious Junior Solar Sales Coordinator to join our office-based sales team.

This is a junior development role, so previous solar experience is not essential. You will initially focus on contacting and qualifying new enquiries while receiving training in solar design, estimating and quotation preparation.

The role

You will help ensure every new enquiry is contacted quickly, properly qualified and moved through our sales process.

Your responsibilities will include:

Calling new customer enquiries promptlySpeaking confidently with homeowners about their requirementsQualifying customers based on their property, energy usage, budget and timescaleCollecting electricity bills, roof photographs and other informationBooking qualified remote consultations for our solar consultantFollowing up customers who cannot initially be contactedNurturing customers who are interested but not yet ready to proceedKeeping customer information and follow-up activity updated in our CRMSupporting the preparation of solar and battery quotationsLearning to use solar design and estimating softwareAssisting with system designs, proposals and sales follow-upsProgressing towards managing straightforward customer consultationsPreparing quotations and closing sales as your knowledge develops

Who we are looking for

We are looking for someone who is confident on the telephone, commercially minded, organised and keen to develop a career in renewable energy.

You should have:

Some previous telephone-sales, appointment-setting or customer-service experienceConfidence speaking with new customersA professional and friendly telephone mannerStrong organisation and follow-up skillsPersistence without being overly pushyConfidence using computers and online softwareGood written communication and attention to detailThe ability to learn technical informationA positive attitude and willingness to be trainedA genuine interest in sales and renewable energy

Experience within solar, renewable energy, home improvements, construction or technical sales would be advantageous, but it is not essential. Full product, system and design training will be provided.

We would also consider an ambitious candidate at the beginning of their sales career who can demonstrate excellent communication skills, confidence and a strong willingness to learn.
