Client Manager

A qualified accountant ready to own a portfolio, lead client relationships and step into a genuine management role? This is a great opportunity with a well-established, growing accountancy practice in Berkhamsted. You'll be the trusted lead adviser for a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses — overseeing their accounts, tax and advisory needs, reviewing work, and being the person clients pick up the phone to. You'll also mentor and develop the team below you and help shape how the practice grows. What you'll be doingManaging a portfolio of clients as their primary point of contact and trusted adviserReviewing accounts, corporation tax and personal tax before sign-offSpotting advisory, planning and improvement opportunities across your clientsOverseeing budgets, WIP, billing and recoverability on your portfolioMentoring, reviewing and developing semi-seniors and seniorsSupporting the partners on wider practice growth and new workWhat you'll bringACA or ACCA qualified with solid UK practice experienceExperience managing a client portfolio and reviewing others' workStrong technical knowledge across accounts and taxConfident, commercial and client-focused communicationA proactive, ownership-minded approachWhat's on offer £50,000 – £60,000 depending on experience, plus 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a company pension, ongoing development, and a clear route to progress within a growing firm.
