The Opportunity
A prestigious 5-star luxury hotel and resort in the Midlands is looking for a talented Banqueting Sous Chef to join its culinary team.
This is a great opportunity for a Sous Chef with strong banqueting experience to work within a luxury environment, delivering weddings, conferences, private events and large-scale functions to a high standard.
You’ll work closely with the Executive Chef and senior culinary team, helping to lead the banqueting operation and develop a talented kitchen brigade.
The Role
Support the senior culinary team across all banqueting operationsLead and motivate the kitchen brigade during busy servicesDeliver consistently high-quality food across weddings, events and functionsAssist with menu development and event planningMaintain excellent food quality, presentation and portion controlManage ordering, stock control and minimise food wasteTrain and develop junior members of the kitchen teamMaintain the highest food safety and hygiene standardsTake responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of senior chefsAbout You
Previous experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous ChefExperience within a luxury hotel, resort or high-end banqueting operationStrong experience managing high-volume servicesA genuine passion for quality food and presentationConfident leading and developing a kitchen teamCalm and organised under pressureStrong knowledge of food safety and kitchen standardsFlexible approach to working across a busy hotel operationWhat’s on Offer
