Zero2Five are delighted to be working with a high-quality, independent day nursery in Hither Green, who are looking for a passionate and experienced Level 3 Room Leader to join their team and lead their Preschool Room.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced early years professional looking to lead a room, inspire and support a team, and make a real difference to children’s learning, development and wellbeing.

What We’re Looking For

Level 3 Childcare qualification (essential)Minimum 2 years’ experience in an early years settingStrong knowledge of the EYFS and safeguardingExperience working with preschool-aged childrenPassion for children’s learning and developmentConfident, organised and proactive approachStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to lead and motivate a team

Room Leader Responsibilities

Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Preschool RoomLead and support the room team, creating a positive and welcoming environmentPlan and deliver fun, engaging activities that support children’s learning and developmentEmbed the EYFS into everyday practiceAct as a Key Person, building strong relationships with children and familiesComplete observations, assessments and next stepsCreate a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environmentSupport children’s independence, confidence and school readinessBuild positive relationships with parents and carersEnsure safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followedSupport and guide staff within the roomWork closely with management to maintain high standardsAttend training and contribute to the continuous improvement of the nursery
