Animal Care Apprentice - Doggy Day Care

Providing exceptional care for dogs throughout the day. Ensuring high standards of animal welfare and reporting on behaviour, wellbeing and health. Monitoring dog behaviour, body language and group dynamics to help maintain a safe environment. Organising and leading enrichment activities and supporting play sessions. Preparing and administering feeds where required.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness throughout the premises. Completing daily records and general administration. Managing bookings, payments and customer enquiries. Answering telephone calls and responding to online enquiries. Creating engaging social media content. Assisting with new dog assessments and introductions.

Training:
You will be working towards the Level 2 Animal Care and Welfare Assistant apprenticeship qualification, and all training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day-to-day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in-person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

Training Outcome:
Progression into Level 3 or full-time employment for the right candidate.

Doggy Day Care Wheelock is a 5-star licensed indoor and outdoor doggy daycare facility based in Wheelock, Cheshire. Established in 2017, the purpose-built centre provides care for up to 40 dogs per day, welcoming dogs of different breeds, sizes and temperaments.

Working Hours :
Working Monday to Friday, with flexibility required as you will work across a variety of shift patterns.
