Engineering Apprentice (Turning)
How to work safely by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
Learning how to read & understand Engineering Drawings
Manufacture of precision components to supplied CAD and drawings
Deburring
Operating CNC lathes of various sizes
Help Confidently program parts, partially responsible for setting and operating with guidance
Maintain program and tooling records for all components produced
Responsible for basic inspection of parts to ensure ongoing quality
Learn Autodesk FeatureCam and Fusion 360 for CAD/CAM programming
Carry out daily / weekly machine maintenance
Maintain clean and tidy work ethic
Training:
1 day per week at college and 4 days per week on site at AJM.
Training Outcome:
Job offer at the end of the apprenticeship.
Employer Description:
Business been in operation since 1964. Manufacturer of precision parts and moulds in a variety of metals including exotics.
Working Hours :
Mon to Thu 8am to 5pm with lunch (1pm to 1.30pm) Fri 8am to 1pm Cannot confirm which day will be at college until course information supplied.
