Civil engineering technician apprentice with a global consulting engineering company

Support civil engineering projects by creating and modifying engineering drawings, documents and specifications Assist with engineering calculations, technical sketches, plans and reports Collect, analyse and interpret engineering data to support design development Support the use of digital engineering software and tools including CAD, BIM and Revit Assist engineers and technicians with project design and delivery activities Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, engineering standards and environmental requirements Support the implementation of health and safety procedures and site safety requirements Assist in identifying risks and developing solutions to engineering challenges Communicate effectively with project teams, clients and stakeholders Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams Maintain accurate project records and documentation Promote equality, diversity, inclusion and professional behaviours in the workplace

Training:

This course will be delivered in partnership with your employer, one day in College at the Blossomfield Road Solihull Campus with the remainder of the week spent in your place of work under the direction of your employer. The work in college it is predominantly classroom based with units such as Surveying taking place in part outside and drawing units delivered in a design classroom. There will also be some lab sessions to support learning.



Training Outcome:

A long-term career with a global business with the possibility to progress onto a higher apprenticeship.
