Adults Social Worker

We are looking for a Social Worker to join an Adult Social Care Front Door team in North London.

This role requires a Social Work Qualification with a minimum of 3 years post qualified experience.

About the team

Act as the first point of contact for all new adult social care enquiries, triaging referrals and making timely, proportionate decisions about the right response. Complete Care Act 2014 assessments of care and support needs, determining eligibility and putting the person at the heart of the assessment alongside their family, friends and community networks. Identify the presenting problem early to offer focused, short-term intervention, supporting adults to regain independence or reduce their reliance on other people and services. Undertake mental capacity assessments under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and manage risk and complex decision-making where professional input is required. Manage safeguarding concerns under Section 42 of the Care Act 2014, applying Making Safeguarding Personal throughout. A role suited to a social worker confident in the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, working at pace, and delivering strengths-based, person-centred practice.

About you

A degree within Social Work (Degree/DipSW/CQSW) with a minimum of three years experience is essential in order to be considered for this role. Experience within a front door, duty or fast-paced adults setting is desirable.
