Working Supervisor - Layher System Scaffolding
Location: Leeds and sites across Yorkshire – Driving licence essential
Full Time, Permanent
Monday to Friday, with weekend overtime available
Salary dependent on experience
We are recruiting on behalf of an established specialist contractor delivering high-quality scaffolding and access solutions across Yorkshire and beyond.
Working with clients across a range of commercial and construction projects, the business has built a strong reputation for safety, reliability and quality workmanship. As part of their continued growth, they are now looking for an experienced Working Supervisor with strong practical knowledge of Layher System Scaffolding to join their team.
This is a hands-on supervisory role, so you will be working alongside the team while taking responsibility for the safe and efficient running of day-to-day scaffolding operations on site.
Role overview
You will supervise and support scaffolding crews carrying out the erection, modification and dismantling of Layher System scaffolding, making sure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
Leading and supervising scaffolding teams on siteWorking hands-on alongside the team when requiredOverseeing the erection, alteration and dismantling of Layher System scaffoldingEnsuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site proceduresCarrying out checks and inspections of scaffolding and Layher componentsCoordinating with site management and other contractorsPlanning workloads and helping the team meet project deadlinesMaintaining high standards of safety, workmanship and housekeeping on siteIdentifying and resolving issues as they ariseAbout you
We are looking for someone with solid scaffolding experience who is confident leading a team while remaining hands-on on site.
You will need:
Strong practical experience with Layher System ScaffoldingPrevious experience supervising or leading scaffolding teamsAn in-date Scaffolding cardSSSTSA good understanding of scaffolding safety standards and site proceduresA full UK driving licenceThe ability to lead by example and work well as part of a teamA reliable and professional approach to work An HGV licence would be advantageous, but is not essential.Further training will be provided to support your development within the role.Hours & Benefits
