Site Carpentry Apprentice

Over the course of the apprenticeship, you will gain on-site experience of the building industry through hands-on work on a live site. This program will provide you with the basis to build a great lifelong career within the Construction Industry.

You will be working closely with the onsite team of Carpenters to carry out all aspects of the Site Carpentry trade, and under supervision, create, prepare and fix timber components as part of the building process.

Your responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

Preparation of materials Safe working practices Cleaning of areas and tools Storage and moving of materials Interpreting drawings and specifications Dedication to college and site work Work as a team and individually (under supervision) Maintain high standards of quality Ensure site rules are followed Work safely at all times Roofing and joisting First and second fix Fitting doors, door frames and window frames Installing kitchens and cabinetry Fitting staircases

Training:

You will work towards the:

Site Carpentry Level 2 Apprenticeship Standard Training will be delivered through day release to Milton Keynes College alongside your workplace learning

Training Outcome:

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the candidate will be offered a full-time position with the opportunity to progress their career as a Site Supervisor.
