AD Plant Engineering Apprentice
Assist with the day-to-day operation of the Anaerobic Digestion and Effluent Plant
Learn and support the process of plant monitoring and performance optimisation
Complete daily operational checks and inspections
Assist in the monitoring of feedstock and plant performance
Support the loading of feedstock and movement of materials across the site
Participate in a rotational out-of-hours alarm response system as experience and training develop
Assist with planned preventative maintenance activities
Support maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting work on plant and equipment
Learn safe maintenance practices and equipment care
Help identify equipment defects and report issues promptly
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high standard
Support the cleaning, housekeeping, and general maintenance of the AD Plant site
Assist with contractor supervision and monitoring when required
Ensure work areas remain clean, organised, and compliant with operational standards
Support the management of site waste and environmental controls
Complete daily records, logbooks, check sheets, and sampling documentation
Assist with plant reports and operational data collection
Accurately record maintenance activities and operational findings
Support daily reporting requirements and communicate issues to management
Training:
Structured day release for the programme
College assessor
Workplace mentor
Training Outcome:
Upon completion there is room to progress further within the company.
