Apprentice - Business Support & Finance Assistant
This is a hybrid role so you will be required to have a suitable, confidential space to be able to work from home when required.
This apprenticeship offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience in administration, business operations, and finance support within a busy charity environment. Working as part of the Finance and Enterprise team, you will provide essential administrative support across the organisation, helping ensure the smooth day-to-day running of services while developing valuable workplace skills and experience.
You'll be involved in a wide range of duties, including supporting visitors and colleagues, coordinating meetings and events, maintaining accurate records and filing systems, and assisting with finance administration. You will also help manage internal resources, update staff information and documentation, liaise with suppliers, and support the production of reports and spreadsheets.
Key duties will include:
Acting as a first point of contact for visitors, telephone calls, emails and enquiries Supporting meeting and event administration, including room bookings, hospitality, agendas and minute-taking Maintaining accurate records, filing systems and archives in line with GDPR requirements Assisting with data entry and ensuring information is accurate and up to date Monitoring shared inboxes and responding to enquiries appropriately Raising purchase orders, obtaining supplier quotes and supporting finance processes Producing reports and spreadsheets to support business and financial activities Maintaining inventories of organisational assets and equipment Updating internal documents, templates, guidance materials and intranet content Conducting research and administrative tasks to support business decision-makingThis role is ideal for someone who is organised, enthusiastic, keen to learn, and interested in developing a career in business administration, operations, or finance support. You will receive training and support while gaining practical experience across a variety of business functions.

Monday - Friday 8.30pm - 4.30pm. The postholder may be required to work some evenings and weekends for example to support fundraising events.
