Apprentice Engineer

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working on high-speed bottling and packaging equipment while studying towards a recognised engineering qualification.

What You Will Learn:

Working alongside experienced engineers, you will receive training in:

Mechanical and electrical maintenance Fault finding and problem solving Preventive maintenance Conveyor systems, pumps, motors and sensors Bottling, filling, capping and packaging machinery Health and safety procedures Food safety, hygiene and BRCGS standards Continuous improvement and manufacturing best practice

Your Responsibilities:

Assist engineers with planned and reactive maintenance activities Help diagnose and repair equipment faults Carry out basic maintenance tasks under supervision Maintain accurate maintenance records Support production teams to minimise downtime Keep engineering workshops and work areas clean and organised Follow all site health, safety and food safety rules. Take an active role in your college / apprenticeship studies

Training:

The apprentice will attend Shrewsbury College, London Rd Campus for the day release element on a proposed timetable of 2 days per week.



Training Outcome:

Upon successful review you will advance to higher qualifications and be offered a permanent position within the company.

Monday - Friday on a rota basis, discussed at interview.
