Plumbing and domestic heating technician Level 3 Apprenticeship

Assist experienced plumbers with reactive plumbing repairs and maintenance Attend residential and commercial properties to investigate reported plumbing issues Assist with identifying and repairing leaks, burst pipes and water supply issues Repair and replace taps, toilets, sinks, basins and other plumbing fixtures Assist with clearing blocked sinks, toilets, waste pipes and drainage systems Help diagnose faults and identify the appropriate repairs required Assist with replacing pipework, valves, fittings and other plumbing components Carry out basic plumbing repairs under appropriate supervision Help identify materials and parts required to complete repairs Ensure tools, equipment and materials are prepared and maintained correctly Keep work areas clean, safe and tidy during and after completing works Communicate professionally with customers, clients and the Storm Maintenance office team Provide clear updates on jobs and report any additional works that may be required Take photographs and provide accurate information for job records Follow company procedures and health and safety requirements at all times Attend college or training sessions and complete all apprenticeship coursework and assessments.

GCSE A-C / 9-4 in Maths and English (or equivalent functional skills)

Desirable Application Criteria: (Preferred but not essential qualifications, skills, experience, knowledge)

Strong interest in electrical installation Good practical and problem-solving skills Teamwork and communication skills Basic numeracy and attention to detail

Training:

The apprentice will attend Waltham Forest College, located at 707 Forest Road, Walthamstow, London, E17 4JB, as part of their apprenticeship training.

1 day per week at College On-site college-based training The remaining days will be spent working with us, gaining practical experience and developing business administration skills in the workplace Training will support the apprentice in building the knowledge, skills, and behaviours required to successfully complete their apprenticeship

Training Outcome:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship and required qualifications, there may be opportunities to progress into a Plumber / Maintenance Engineer position with Storm Maintenance, taking responsibility for your own reactive maintenance jobs and continuing to develop your technical skills and experience.



Employer Description:

Storm Maintenance Ltd provides professional property maintenance, 24/7 emergency call-outs, and fire safety compliance services across London and the South East. They handle plumbing, electrical faults, heating, and general property repairs for residential and commercial clients.



Working Hours :
Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm, shifts, may work evenings and weekends.
