Business Administrator Apprenticeship – Patient Services Team

Duties will include:

Working with the Patient Services Team answering the telephone, liaising with staff and patients and accessing patient medical records. Using our clinical IT software for patient management General admin tasks such as photocopying, emails, post, filing, writing correspondence to support doctors and other medical staff. General administrative support throughout the practice Operating office equipment. Making and receiving telephone calls- both external and internal Working effectively with others. Producing a variety of documents. Working within a strict code of confidentiality. Having a thorough knowledge of practice policies and procedures and work within them. Participating in an annual individual performance review Undertaking training as required for the better performance of the job and maintaining a record of personal and professional development. Working well within a team, communicating and sharing. Able to be flexible to meet the needs of the surgery.

Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.



Training Outcome:

For the right candidate there is a potential for the role to become permanent.

Grove House Surgery is a General Practice based in Shepton Mallet.



Working Hours :
Working hours will be 4 x 6hr days between the hours of 8am and 6pm. 9hrs per week will be allocated to the online tutorial/study day.
