Apprentice Metal Fabricator

Learning to fabricate and assemble aluminium access platforms under the guidance of experienced metal fabricators and welders Developing TIG welding and metal fabrication skills while working towards industry-recognised qualifications Learning how to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and work instructions Assisting with measuring, cutting, shaping and assembling metal components using a range of hand and power tools Building knowledge of quality standards by checking work and identifying any issues with support from colleagues Working safely and following workshop procedures, health and safety requirements, and good housekeeping practices Supporting the wider production team to complete projects on schedule while gaining practical, hands-on experience Taking an active role in apprenticeship training, continuously developing technical skills and engineering knowledge

 



Training:

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. Off-the-job training will follow the time allocations outlined in the Occupational Standard.



Training Outcome:

Routes of progression into full-time positions within the company may be available based on excelling in the role during the apprenticeship.

We serve bespoke access platforms in Manchester, Liverpool, Cheshire, Merseyside, Wirral, Warrington, Salford, Stockport, Preston, Chester, Wrexham, Bolton, Oldham, Rochdale, St Helens, Knowsley, Southport, Northwich, Macclesfield, and Tameside.



Working Hours :
Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:40pm Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm. One 30-minute lunch break. Two 15 minute breaks in the morning and afternoon.
