Apprentice Bricklayer

Key Responsibilities

Assist experienced bricklayers with day-to-day construction work.
Learn to lay bricks, blocks and other masonry materials. Prepare and mix mortar and other materials. Measure and mark out work areas accurately. Learn how to read and understand basic construction drawings. Keep tools, equipment and work areas clean and organised. Follow health and safety procedures at all times. Work as part of a team to complete projects to a high standard. Attend college or training sessions as required as part of the apprenticeship. Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the site team.

Training:

You will attend East Durham College 1 day per week for training. 

Training Outcome:

Possibility of a permanent position. 

Employer Description:

A small bricklaying comp0any working across the north east on various projects. 

Working Hours :
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays on-site. Tuesdays in college.
