Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship – Level 3 & Level 5 Leadership

Welcome children and help them settle into the setting Support children’s play, learning, and development through planned activities Assist with daily routines, including meals, hygiene, rest, and outdoor play Help prepare and tidy learning resources, toys, and activity areas Observe children and share progress or concerns with qualified staff Encourage positive behaviour, confidence, independence, and inclusion Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and nursery policies at all times Communicate kindly and professionally with children, staff, and families

Training Outcome:

Career Progression and Further Training

After completing the apprenticeship, learners may progress into roles such as qualified Early Years Practitioner, Level 3 Early Years Educator, Room Leader, Nursery Supervisor, or Deputy Manager. They may also continue with further training to build their skills and career opportunities.

Level 4 Early Years Advanced Practitioner Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Higher education routes in childcare, early years, or education studies Teaching assistant or early years teaching support qualifications Safeguarding, special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), or child development training Management and leadership training for nursery supervisor, room leader, or deputy manager roles
