Security Operations Manager
Security Operations Manager – Permanent – Based in Hindlip, Worcester Competitive Salary This is a unique opportunity for a confident, independent Technical Security Lead to work alongside a major crime organization within West Mercia.
The postholder will be responsible for providing expert technical security advice and comfortably uphold a professional lead position in our clients Digital Services Department.

Key responsibilities:
Providing technical expertise associated with all IT projects and other technical activities
To be the professional lead on behalf of all Digital Services
Using your expertise to review policies and procedures to address emerging threats
To ensure operational effectiveness and threat management by identifying threat vectors
Creating reports for security operations to be presented to security stakeholders
Develop and maintain ICT security architectures and operating procedures
Keeping in step with processes driven by the National Police Technology Council, NCSC and other relevant public bodies
Working with the IT Security Officer to provide technical input for accreditation required
Key experience:
Significant experience being the organisational lead on technical security associated projects
Experience implementing and applying national policing technical security standards
Knowledge of IT standards and techniques (ISO 27001 series, HMG’s cloud security principles and Cyber Essentials)
Experience in applying architectural tools and methods using industry best practice
Experience coordinating penetration and other security testing
Experience being the lead for significant ICT security incidents
Liaising with external authorities on ICT security
Experience working with intrusion detection and/or prevention software
