Textile Technical Operative – Mirfield

£14.18 per hour
Monday–Friday | Rotating Double Days
06:15–14:15 / 14:15–22:15

Aqumen Recruitment is looking for Machine Operatives to join an established textile manufacturer in Mirfield.

This is a great opportunity for someone with production or machinery experience — or strong mechanical aptitude — who wants to develop into a skilled machine operator.

Full training is provided.

What You’ll Be Doing

Operate specialist textile machinery.Monitor machine performance and production flow.Carry out quality checks.Make basic adjustments once trained.Identify faults and report technical issues.Complete production records accurately.Maintain high safety and housekeeping standards.Work to production, quality and efficiency targets.

What We’re Looking For

You should be:

Reliable and punctual.Mechanically or technically minded.Comfortable working around machinery.Able to follow instructions and procedures.Quality focused with good attention to detail.Confident working independently once trained.Able to work both rotating shifts.

Previous machine operating or manufacturing experience is highly desirable, particularly within:

Textiles | Engineering | Packaging | Plastics | Print | Food Production | CNC | Extrusion | General Manufacturing

Direct textile experience is not essential.

Training & Progression

You’ll receive full machine-specific training, with your pay increasing as you develop your skills and competence.

There are also opportunities to progress into multi-skilled, Team Leader and Supervisor roles.

You must be able to reliably travel to Mirfield for the 06:15 start and work both shifts:

06:15–14:15
14:15–22:15
