Apprentice Chef
As part of the apprenticeship you will assist in the day-to-day running of the kitchen at a popular Burslem venue, prepping and cooking food through regular service and events.
This will include things such as:
Prepare and cook fresh and frozen meat, fish, and poultry Prepare and cook fresh and frozen fruit and vegetables Cook poached, simmered, steamed, boiled, braised, stewed, baked, grilled, and fried dishes Undertake stock control, storage, and rotation Work as part of a team to support service delivery Monitor and record food temperatures and manage allergens during preparation, cooking, holding, and serving Reduce the waste of resources, acting to measure and reduce plate waste, exercise portion control, and maximise yieldTraining:
Production Chef Level 2 Training will take place one day per week at Stoke-on-Trent Colleges' Cauldon Campus (ST4 2DG)
Training Outcome:
Following completion of the apprenticeship, the right candidate will have the opportunity to stay on as a permanent member of staff.
