Intermediate Electrical Building Services Engineer

Location: Nottingham (NG6)

The Role:

As a Electrical Building Services Engineer you will be working on various projects around UK and have a chance to be part of a successful team.

Apart from supervising junior staff you will attend design and projects team meetings.

SAP and Magicad knowledge is required for this role.

Duties:

? Understanding of regulations and standards and keeping up to date with future changes
? Coordination with other disciplines and specialists
? Promote the company to the best ability at all times
? Undertake feasibility studies
? Preparation of detailed budget costs and defined estimates if required
? Understand the requirements and have proven experience of delivering regulatory obligations associated with Building Regulations Part L and BREEAM
? Work with the mechanical / energy / Part L engineers to derive low energy design solutions
? Attend design team and project meetings on behalf of the company
? Prepare specifications / equipment schedules / drawing and information to installation and fully coordinated standards (RIBA Stage 5)
? Undertaking site quality and legislative inspections and prepare associated reports
? Deliver exceptional technical and commercial solutions
? Prepare technical reports, specifications, contract documents etc
? Liaise directly with clients and contractors


The ideal candidate will have:

? Minimum 3 years' experience of electrical building services design (including emergency lighting and fire alarm design)
? Knowledge and understanding of BS7671
? Hands on knowledge of AutoCAD, Dialux, Relux, Amtech and / or Hevacomp
? Design consultant or contractor background
? Experience of general electrical building engineering services
? HNC or equivalent in relevant subject
? Be a team player, but able to operate at an individual level
? Have a UK full driving licence
? Good experi
