Role: Senior Support Worker

Setting: Residential Children’s Home

Locations: Lewisham, Newham or Enfield

Salary: £14.50 - £17.50*

A specialist children's residential care provider is looking for experienced Senior Residential Support Workers to join their team, supporting young people in a safe, stable and nurturing environment.

This is an opportunity to join a values-led organisation with a strong focus on trauma-informed care, positive relationships and helping young people build confidence, resilience and independence.

You'll support the day-to-day running of the home, lead shifts, mentor junior staff and provide high-quality care that helps young people achieve positive outcomes.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker with a background in children's residential care, strong safeguarding knowledge and a passion for supporting young people to thrive.

*salary is negotiable and based on experience/qualifications.

About you:

Experience working within children's residential care, youth work or children's services.Understanding of trauma-informed practice and the impact of adverse childhood experiences.Ability to build positive, trusting relationships and act as a consistent role model.Experience leading shifts, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive team environment.Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) desirable, or willingness to work towards.Right to work in the UK – please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
