Children with Disabilities Team Manager

A Local Authority is looking for a Qualified Team Manager for their Children with Disabilities service in Merseyside. This is a permanent and full-timeposition that is hybrid working.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)

About the job

Lead and manage services for children and young people with disabilities and their families. Supervise, support, and develop social workers and multidisciplinary staff. Oversee assessments, care planning, and the delivery of support services. Ensure children receive appropriate services, resources, and interventions to meet their needs. Manage complex cases involving safeguarding, disability, health, education, and family support. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and statutory duties. Coordinate effective multi-agency working with health, education, and partner organisations. Monitor service quality, performance, and outcomes for children and families. Manage team workloads, budgets, and resource allocation. Chair or contribute to reviews, planning meetings, and case conferences. Promote inclusion, equality, and the rights of children with disabilities. Respond to complaints, concerns, and service issues appropriately. Lead service improvement initiatives and support continuous professional development. Ensure the voice, wishes, and best interests of children and young people are central to decision-making.

About you

The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification management experience inChildren’s Social Work
