Job title: Head Chef – Centrally Located Restaurant

For our client, a restaurant ideally located in the city center of Amsterdam, we are seeking an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen of a restaurant offering upper-scale Mediterranean and modern European cuisine in a sophisticated yet approachable setting. Currently operating 5 days a week for dinner service it provides high-quality food and service without the formality of fine dining.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all kitchen operations and team managementDevelop and refine creative Mediterranean/modern European menusMaintain consistent high-quality food standards and presentationManage inventory, supplier relationships, and cost controlEnsure smooth and efficient dinner service flowTrain, mentor, and develop kitchen staff

Requirements:

Proven experience as Head Chef or in a similar leadership roleStrong background in Mediterranean and modern European cuisineExperience managing kitchen teams in upper-scale environmentsCreative menu development skills with attention to detailStrong cost control and inventory management abilitiesAbility to maintain quality and consistency in a 50-cover dinner service
