North Town Nursery - Early Years Educator Apprentice

Assist with Childcare: Provide care and supervision for children aged 2 - 4 years, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development Learning Activities: Assist in the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and physical development Meal and Snack Assistance: Help with meal and snack preparation, serving food, and ensuring children’s dietary requirements are met Hygiene and Safety: Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety throughout the nursery Supervision: Monitor and guide children during indoor and outdoor play, ensuring that all activities are conducted in a safe and fun environment Communication: Support children in developing social skills and communication, encouraging positive interactions with peers and staff Record Keeping: Help with observing and recording children’s development, supporting assessments and reports as required by the nursery staff Learning and Development: Participate in training sessions, workshops, and reflective practice to develop skills and knowledge related to child development and early years education Support the Team: Collaborate with other team members to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for children Provide a warm, welcoming, and inclusive atmosphere for children and families Plan and deliver engaging activities that support children's developmental milestones Observe, assess, and record children's progress to ensure they are reaching their full potential Promote positive behaviour and a supportive learning environment Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating setting, adhering to health and safety policies Follow all safeguarding policies and procedures of the nursery Work collaboratively and enthusiastically with a team to ensure high standards of care and education Communicate effectively with parents/carers, keeping them informed about their child's progress

Training:
RICHARD HUISH TRUST, South Road, Taunton 1 day a fortnight at college

Training Outcome:
Fully qualified and will be able to apply for a permanent nursery role if available

We believe in creating a safe, stimulating, and fun environment where children can explore, learn, and develop at their own pace.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 6.00pm.
