Specialist Assembly Technician (Coachbuilder) Apprentice

Throughout the apprenticeship, the successful candidate will be trained to:

Assist in the construction and modification of specialist emergency vehicles Install vehicle interior panels, flooring, cabinets and storage systems Measure, mark out and prepare materials for assembly Learn how to safely use a variety of hand and power tools Carry out drilling, cutting, riveting and fastening operations Fit components accurately using engineering drawings and work instructions Assist with the installation of vehicle trim and interior equipment Carry out sealing, finishing and quality checks on completed work Support the production team to ensure vehicles are completed to schedule Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment Follow company quality standards and Health & Safety procedures Participate in continuous improvement activities within the production department

Training:

Engineering Fitter Level 3.

You will study at Kirklees College Engineering Centre, HD1 6AG one day a week throughout the duration of your apprenticeship.
