Child Development & Learning

Promote the physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of children aged 0-5 Plan and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Observe, assess, and record children's progress to inform planning and support individual needs

Safeguarding & Child Welfare

Ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for all children Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures in accordance with statutory guidance Maintain confidentiality and adhere to GDPR and data protection policies

Inclusion & Special Educational Needs (SEN)

Support children with additional needs, ensuring inclusive access to learning opportunities Work collaboratively with external agencies and professionals to implement tailored support strategies Promote equality, diversity, and inclusive practices throughout the setting

Partnership with Parents & Carers

Build and maintain positive relationships with families and carers Communicate regularly regarding children’s development, achievements, and well-being Encourage parental involvement in the learning process and setting activities

Professional Conduct & Team Collaboration

Work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to a positive and professional environment Mentor and support junior staff and apprentices Engage in continuous professional development and reflective practice

Administrative & Organisational Duties

Maintain accurate records, including observations, assessments, and safeguarding documentation Support the day-to-day organisation of the setting, including routines, transitions, and events Uphold all policies, procedures, and standards set by the organisation and regulatory bodies

Training Outcome:

Potential to gain permanent employment at the setting.
